If you love sweet flavor profiles, Rainbow Belts offers an unforgettable treat packed with a double dose of Zkittlez genetics. Archive Seed Bank crossed classic Zkittlez with their prized Moonbow #75, creating a strain renowned for its mouthwatering sour lime candy aroma, happy-to-relaxed high, and dripping resin that hash enthusiasts absolutely adore.
Indica-leaning hybrid
Zkittlez x Moonbow #75
Commonly reported around 20-25%, varying by grower and batch
Euphoric, giggly, happy, relaxed
Sour lime candy, tropical fruit, berry, floral
Lab data most often points to caryophyllene, linalool, and limonene
Rainbow Belts, sometimes shortened to Rainbow Belt, comes from Archive Seed Bank and breeder ThaDocta, and some people also credit Purple City Genetics. Archive selected Moonbow #75 from a hunt of about 200 plants and crossed it with the original Zkittlez mother. Archive hasn’t confirmed Moonbow’s genetics, but it’s widely believed to be Zkittlez x Dosidos, which would make Rainbow Belts a Zkittlez backcross.
The line has since expanded. Rainbow Belts 2.0 and 3.0 are separate generations built around a selected cut called Rainbow Belts #20, and they aren’t genetically identical to the original. Some seed companies also sell unrelated crosses under the Rainbow Belts name, so the lineage on a product label is worth checking.
Rainbow Belts usually shows bright lime to forest green buds with purple undertones, thin orange pistils, and a thick layer of frosty trichomes. Descriptions of bud structure vary. Some growers’ flower is dense and tapered like a small evergreen, while other batches are chunkier and more rounded. What stays consistent is the resin. Rainbow Belts is known for sticky, heavily frosted flower, which is a big reason it’s so popular for solventless hash. Color and shape can shift between cuts and versions.
Rainbow Belts is a potent hybrid, with THC commonly reported around 20-25%. Individual batches can test higher or lower, so check the product label.
You’ll likely feel a joyful, euphoric wave wash over you first, lifting your mood and encouraging warm smiles and friendly conversation. As time passes, the high smoothly transitions into a deeply peaceful body chill. It’s a beautifully balanced journey from bright happiness to cozy comfort.
Dry mouth and dry eyes are common side effects, and some people report feeling anxious if they take too much. Experiences vary by person, dose, and batch, so start with a small amount if you’re new to this strain.
Most people reach for Rainbow Belts in the late afternoon or evening. Its early lift makes it a good pick for relaxed hangouts or music, and the calmer finish suits a quiet night in. Some people say it helps them unwind and ease stress at the end of the day, and others use it to settle down before bed. Flavor chasers and hash fans also seek it out for its terpene-rich resin. These are consumer reports, not proven medical benefits.
The signature note is sour lime candy. Many people say a fresh jar smells like freshly squeezed lime mixed with sugary fruit candy, with tropical, berry, and grape notes behind it. Reviewers often compare the taste to fruity cereal or a handful of mixed candy.
The flavor stays sweet and tangy on both the inhale and exhale. Some batches add a floral lift, while others finish with a hint of gas, skunk, or kush funk.
Caryophyllene, linalool, and limonene are the leading terpenes. Limonene fits the tart citrus, linalool the floral sweetness, and caryophyllene the subtle spice underneath. Ratios shift between cuts and versions, so no two batches will taste exactly alike.
Rainbow Belts is a resin monster with a fruity, sour-candy flavor that heads chase down, and it shows up on our menus as new drops come in. Since its trichome-heavy buds make it a favorite of hash makers, it’s just as exciting in a jar of live rosin as it is in an eighth. Check the live menu for Escanaba, Republic, Menominee, or New Buffalo before you visit, and explore both our concentrates and flower to catch it in whatever form you love most.

Rainbow Belts is usually classified as an indica-leaning hybrid, though you’ll see some people refer to it as more evenly balanced. Many people who enjoy Rainbow Belts describe a cheerful, social beginning of the effects, followed by relaxing body feelings that can turn sleepy at higher doses.
They’re different breeding generations from Archive Seed Bank. The original is Zkittlez x Moonbow #75. Versions 2.0 and 3.0 build on a selected Rainbow Belts #20 cut, and 3.0 is often noted for sour fuel notes and heavy resin.
Rainbow Belts produces a lot of sticky, terpene-rich resin, which makes it a top choice for solventless hash and rosin. Rainbow Belts 3.0 hash in particular has placed at several hash competitions.
Both come from Zkittlez, so they share part of their family tree. Runtz pairs Zkittlez with Gelato, while Rainbow Belts crosses Zkittlez with Moonbow. Rainbow Belts usually leans more sour and limey.
