Our inspiration to grow and elevate your cannabis experience stems from a very important man: Dan Davis, the late husband and father of our owners, Barb and Neil Davis.
Dan Davis was a passionate advocate for cannabis as medicine. As a stage four cancer survivor, he credited marijuana as his lifeline to getting off opioids and managing both his pain and appetite during chemotherapy. Dan had a love of learning, which extended to teaching any who would listen (and frankly, some who wouldn’t) about the medical properties of cannabis, and the nuance of strain selection
depending on both the individual and their specific needs. As a social worker, he devoted his life to helping people in many ways, with a dream that legalization would one day allow him to help more people through the power of cannabis.

Elevated Exotics’ support for music and the arts is also inspired by Dan Davis, late husband and father of Elevated Exotics owners Barb and Neil Davis.
Dan was a local radio legend in Wisconsin, and is often remembered for his love of music. His voice was heard in the Fox Valley and Green Bay areas on WRST, WYTL, and WOSH, before he served as program director and station manager at WAPL, “The Rockin’ Apple.”
Dan’s love of music was infectious, and naturally, we wanted Elevated Exotics to foster the love of music in our community. Immediately after our first location opened in Republic, Michigan in June of 2022, our small team began planning the first year of our annual Summer’s End Smokeout (SESO) music and arts festival. Since then, we have branched out to sponsor more than 14 music and art events in Michigan and Wisconsin, with year 4 of SESO coming up this August 7th – 10th, 2025.
